The Joint Venture of Bahadir Construction and Tedeschia Construction Enterprises LTD has made a successful bid for the Hamad International Airport Western Development section of the expansion plan which aims to increase the operational capacity of the airport for the Milestone of the FIFA 2022 Football World Cup.

In a Joint Venture, including Urbacon Construction Company, the project was awarded in October 2019 and slated for completion by August 2022, the position of Contractor on this section of the expansion includes the provision of infrastructure and utility expansion works, including:

• Western Taxiways
• Romeo / Sierra Taxiway Connections
• North and South Holding Bays
• Midfield Taxiway and GSE Bridges,
• Western Remote Stands
• Western Fuel Farm
• Western Utility Zone
• Landside Infrastructure
